Register now for February 2012 conference & workshops

Population Data BC is partnering with the Canadian Population Health Initiative of the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) to deliver a conference and related workshops that will focus on Population Health Data Analysis: From Infrastructure to Innovation. The event will take place from February 8th to 10th at the Simon Fraser University, Harbour Centre, downtown Vancouver.

Presentations and workshops will be of interest to researchers, faculty members, graduate students and representatives from government and health-related organizations who work in the area of population and public health.

February 8th will include plenary presentations that focus on data linkage infrastructure, researcher case studies in different forms of data analysis, and innovation in data presentation and knowledge translation.

February 9th and 10th will offer one-day and two-day hands-on workshops that will align with key presentations from day one.

The third International Health Data Linkage Conference will be held in Perth, Western Australia 1-4 May 2012.

The Scottish Health Information Programme (SHIP) biennial conference:

“Exploiting Existing Data for Health Research”

will be held on 9th – 11th September 2011 at the University of St Andrews.

The conference is designed for researchers and practitioners interested in record linkage and the use of routine health data in their research. 

Prior to the conference there will be a 5-day course from 4th-8th September 2011 on the theory and practice of analysis of large sets of linked health and social data at an introductory to intermediate levels.
